With practical ocean experience equivalent to 10 circumnavigations of the globe, Jim brings a wealth of sea time and expertise to your yacht's delivery. Three trans-Atlantic passages coupled with 23 Newport-Bermuda crossings are just a sampling of Jim's deep water experience. Extensive passage making in northern Europe, the Mediterranean, throughout the Caribbean, the US West Coast, Japan, Hong Kong, New Zealand and Australia complement 30 years of US East Coast and Great Lakes sailing. This vast experience provides the foundation for the safety conscious, weather savvy and professional attitude that Jim brings to your yacht delivery.
Extensive offshore experience is coupled with a 100 Ton USCG Master's License (Lic. No. 211143), with Commercial Towing and Sailing Endorsements. Jim is also a published author of sailing performance techniques, as well as a seasoned on-the-water and in-the-classroom instructor. He is well known in the marine industry for his good nature and high level of customer service.
